What I enjoy most about my business is that I get to make new friends all the time.  I find the best way to capture moments that truly express a person, a couple, a child or a family is by getting to know something about them.  My sessions are relaxed and more like we are hanging out and having fun than a photography shoot.  I like to talk to people and find out what you do, what you like, a little about who you are.  And let the shoot take on whatever life it has on its own.  I do not have a signature pose or place or prop.  I find each person, each couple, each family brings their own life to the session and I try to capture that and bring it to life.

I call my style editorial, or story telling.  I love natural light, most especially the sunset.  I do very little posing and lots of playing.  We have fun, we play, we laugh and use the interactions that are naturally created by people who love each other.  I never have the same session twice.  Even in the same setting.  I love finding the unique personality of the couple, the mother-to-be, the newborn, the child, or the family and letting it move the session as it will.  That is really what I love most about my photography.  Just jumping in and seeing where we go.  I prefer to capture people being who they are naturally.  I feel that those moments when we relax, forget we are being photographed, and just be who we are, bring life to the image.  That is what I strive for when I photograph my clients.  Those little looks.  Those spontaneous smiles.  The mischievous grins.  And, yes, even the furrowed brow or the pout.

I love all things outdoors.  I love my three wonderful children, hiking, camping, scuba diving, gardening, very dark chocolate and coffee.  Lots of coffee.
