Session Details

First time session with a photographer?

Not sure about what to expect?

Well, here are some details so you can prepare for your session, know what to expect, and relax and enjoy the experience!!  Its all about fun time…no, seriously, it is!   Repeat:  Fun!!

I photograph families, children, High School seniors, newborns, “themed” sessions, weddings, special events and family gatherings, as well as special requests.  Following is some information for some of these sessions.  But, please, contact me if you have questions, or would like more details and information.

Your Family / Children Session:

Regular sessions should take about 45 minutes, but please plan for an hour. And if we need to walk, or get all “caught up” in our moments, we might need a bit more for foot travel time.

You are very welcome to bring a change of clothes, or layers if you would like.  Bright and colorful always looks fantastic on kids, but please dress to your own personal tastes.  Please try to avoid clothes with large images (such as animals, or trucks!) or large lettering (such as “Nike” or “Broncos”).  I prefer coordinated to matching as it makes for better texture and adds more to the photographs.  Mixing textures, colors and patterns works wonderfully.  Hats, scares, bright shoes, anything fun is always good to wear or bring along, and if you have any “props” such as a pretty stuffy, quilt, wooden toy, umbrella…anything that would add to your photo and also help to entertain is always good as well.  A pretty book that you can read together or a ball or toy that can be played with is also wonderful.

When you are thinking about wardrobe for you, just wear what makes you feel gorgeous.  You can go as dressy or casual as fits your personality, but try to keep to something comfortable.  Basically, just show your family’s personality and have fun!  It is always fun, and looks great in your photos, if you do carry a “theme” through your wardrobe.  You can wear a bright belt or shoes and match that with something small that “ties” you all together.  But, as always, this is not necessary as it is most important that you are comfortable and feel good.

And do remember if you bring water and snacks please try to stay away from anything sticky or that might make for colorful “drool”!  And please do not use any candy brides until after the session.  Please try to let me know as soon as possible if someone is sick and you need to re-schedule.  After our session, I will post a sneak peek on my blog and will let you know when I do.

Your High School Senior Session:

Your session should take about an hour, but please plan on an hour and a half.  I can also do multiple locations if they are within 10 mins of each other.  This might require a small additional fee to the session fee, depending upon locations.

Dress to make yourself feel amazing and so that your personality shines through.  Wardrobe changes are fine, pretty much as many as you would like.  🙂

We will talk about locations and I will find out more about you so that I can really capture you for who you are.  If you have props (umbrella, balloons, cloth streamers, hats…) please BRING THEM!  Also, I will come to location if you are a dancer, artist, athlete, musician…we can work together to find the best place and the best way to make your images really represent you.

Please try to let me know as soon as possible if you are sick and need to re-schedule.  After our session, I will post a sneak peek on my blog and will let you know when I do. Remember, in the end, it is about YOU so lets make it about you!

Your Belly Session:

For your Belly Session you are welcome to come as a couple, with your other children, or on your own.  We will need about 45 minutes, but plan on an hour to be safe.  You are welcome to bring a change of clothes and props such as special baby items are always great to bring. This can be toys, newborn clothes, special items…anything that has meaning for you and the new little one to come!

If you are bringing along other children, you can read through the Family Session information as well. Please try to let me know as soon as possible if someone is sick and you need to re-schedule.  After our session, I will post a sneak peek on my blog and will let you know when I do.

I also photograph newborns, and “themed” shoots as well.  I have special Details for these that I will share with you when you book, or upon request.
